Cops On Kidnapping Charges Offered Bail

Corporal Roger Davis and Constable Ricardo Foster were offered bail in the sum of Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($600,000.00) with one to three sureties when they appeared in the Trelawny Parish Court yesterday morning. Both were charged on Friday July 21, 2017 by detectives from MOCA – West for Kidnapping and Breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act.

Allegations are that on Wednesday July 12, 2017, Davis and Foster posing as policemen from MOCA stopped and forcibly took the complainant from his motor vehicle and solicited Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00), to which he agreed. He later managed to escape after they took his to his house to collect the money. The policemen then took the complainant’s spouse from the house and brought her to Falmouth Trelawny. When their demand was not met they released her along the road way.

A report was subsequently made to the MOCA-West office, resulting the arrest and charge of Corporal Davis and Constable Foster. They will return to the Trelawny Parish Court on Thursday September 7, 2017.
