The Investigations Unit is supported by; Special Operations, Polygraph and Vetting, Legal, Documentation and Case Management, Human Resources and Office Services, and Corporate Communications and Client Service Excellence.
Investigations
Investigations is the main unit at MOCA, with scores of well trained specialist investigators. Each investigator is equipped with analytical investigative skills to ensure that each case is handled with professionalism and competence.
Cyber Investigations & Risk Management
The Cyber Investigations and Risk Management Unit uses digital forensics to support traditional investigative efforts. It is a full fledged unit tasked with tackling the growing cyber crime landscape in Jamaica.
Special Operations
The Operations Team is tasked with surveillance, evidentiary development and proactive indictment of offenders. The MOCA Special Operations Unit consists of: Proactive Operations and Tactical Operations.
Vetting & Polygraph
The Unit leads the Caribbean in field investigations, personnel security vetting checks and the application of technological integrity screening instruments. The unit is also the gatekeeper for MOCA, ensuring the integrity of potential employees.
Legal & Prosecutorial Services
The Legal team guides the investigations teams in ensuring that work is done in accordance with the law. The unit's work also ensures that the agency's arrest will be successful before the courts.
Documentation & Case Management Section
Formerly known as the Major Investigation Registry is the main library of cases handled by MOCA. This section also provides pertinent statistics and reports on the agency's performance.
Corporate Communications & Client
Service Excellence
The Communications Unit is the liaison between the agency and the public, keeping citizens abreast of the work being done and generating support in the fight against corruption and organised crime.
Human Resource &
Office Services
The Human Resources and Office Services Unit assumes responsibility for the welfare and development of the MOCA Agents and staff.
